As the IT landscape and emerging technologies evolve, IT operations become more complex, yet business reliance on it has accelerated. Our History

Sixteen years ago, Zinia was established as an ISP telco with a clear vision: to revolutionise the telecommunications industry by prioritising client satisfaction above all else.

From the very beginning, our founders understood that success hinged on assembling a team of dedicated professionals who were not only skilled but also deeply committed to delivering exceptional results for clients.

Over the years, Zinia strategically amalgamated several businesses, each bringing unique strengths and capabilities to the table. This integration process was driven by a single methodology: placing the right people in the right positions to ensure optimal client outcomes. This holistic approach allowed us to expand our offerings and evolve into a comprehensive technology provider.

Frank Mullen | Chief Executive Officer

Frank has over three decades of ICT industry expertise, is a passionate entrepreneur, and leads Zinia with zeal. He thrives on transforming businesses through innovation and technology, which led him to co-found Zinia in 2009 after successfully running a network consulting company, and a distribution business in the telecoms sector. Armed with his vast technical ICT expertise combined with razor-sharp business strategy skills, Frank is a formidable leader. His specialties include IT and telecoms products and services, business, importing, distributing, creating channels, growing direct B2B market share and businesses, turning around non profitable companies, and Business Strategy.

Warren Bonheim, Managing Director of Zinia

Warren Bonheim | Managing Director

Warren has 20 + years under his belt as an entrepreneur in the ICT sector where he founded two multi-million-rand businesses, the first one in the telecommunications industry specialising in PABX’s and Premicell Lease Cost Routers, and then Zinia which he co-founded with Frank Mullen at the young age of 29. He has a passion for growth and seeking “what’s next”, for the industry and his company, however always ensuring continual improvement of operations, processes, products/services, and people. His combination of negotiation skills and business acumen has allowed Warren to take Zinia forward even during tough market conditions, and his strength in sales and marketing ensures a strong market position and differentiation.

Carmen Hargroves, Director of Zinia Connect, leads our enterprise division that provides high level telecommunications and IT account management to large companies. With 28+ Years’ ICT experience, a wealth of large corporate account management experience, and multiple accreditations and certifications under her belt, Carmen is a dynamic and positive leader. Her strategic expertise, knowledge of the industry and relentless pursuit of always delivering on promises has earned her the trust of CEO’s and Chairmen of multi-billion Rand companies.
