The problem
G&H Transport has a large local and export fleet of specialist vehicles that need to be tracked 24/7. The company’s business rests on timely delivery. G&H Transport was experiencing copper cable theft on a regular basis which was affecting the business’s ability to be online and track their fleet and service their customers effectively.
The solution
At the time Fibre was not available at G&H’s Head Office in Chloorkop and Zinia recommended and initially installed a 5 Mbps Microwave solution. When Fibre came into the area Zinia implemented a 10 Mbps Fibre line, which was recently upgraded to a 50 Mbps Premium Fibre solution. “Our business connectivity has been greatly improved due to the solution implemented by Zinia, giving us a reliable, lightning fast Internet experience,” says Ian Douglas, Systems and Business Development Manager at G&H Transport.
Challenges
The initial Microwave solution was a good interim solution to the cable theft problems facing the company, however G&H Transport wanted a dedicated Fibre line to meet the speed, reliability and business performance required from their connectivity.
